Wie kommt es zu diesem signifikanten Anstieg? Verkehrsexperten geben auch dem „starren Durchsetzen&amp;quot; des Vorranges schuld. 43 der 62 getöteten Radfahrer sind wegen eigener Fehler ums Leben gekommen, 13 dieser Unfälle ereigneten sich ohne Beteiligung anderer. 19 Unfälle sind auf schuldhaftes Verhalten anderer Verkehrsteilnehmer zurückzuführen. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;Beim Fremdverschulden sei die Problematik von abbiegenden Schwerfahrzeugen an Kreuzungen auffällig. Im &amp;quot;toten Winkel&amp;quot; werden Radler leicht übersehen, so Otmar Bruckner vom Referat für Vekehrsdienst in einer APA-Meldung. In der Stadt bergen Radfahrerüberfahrten auf stark befahrenen Straßen ein hohes Risikopotenzial. Allerdings ereigneten sich die meisten tödlichen Unfälle auf Bundes- und Landesstraßen. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;Die unfallträchtigste Zeit ist von April/Mai bis September/Oktober. Am meisten passiert im Herbst bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit. Sichtbarkeit ist ein großes Thema, sind sich die Verkehrsexperten einig. Wie schätzen die Wiener die Situation ein? Praktyczne rozwiąza- nie tego problemu oferuje firma Ena-truck. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;D yrektywa Unii Europej- skiej 2007/38/EC regu- lująca tę kwestię we- szła w życie 6 sierpnia 2007, natomiast ostateczny ter- min wyposażenia samochodów ciężarowych w lusterka martwego pola upływa 31 marca 2009 roku. Czasu więc zostało na- prawdę niewiele. Nowe przepisy zostały wpro- wadzone, by zlikwidować mar- twe pole pojawiające po prawej stronie ciężarówki. Jest ono przy- czyną wielu wypadków, takich jak potrącenia rowerzystów czy pieszych. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;PRODUCENCI&lt;/strong&gt; pojazdów cięża- rowych uwzględniali już nowe przepisy ograniczające martwe pole w pojazdach produkowa- nych od 2006 roku, instalując w lusterkach szerokokątnym (klasy IV) oraz rampowym/kra- wężnikowym (klasy V) lusterka o promieniu krzywizny 300 mm, które dzięki zmniejszeniu (z 400 mm) promienia krzywizny obej- mują swym zasięgiem martwe pole określone w dyrektywie. Niestety wszystkie pojazdy za- rejestrowane od 2000 do 2006 roku nie uwzględniały problemu martwego pola i były wyposażo- ne w lusterka o promieniu krzy- wizny 400 mm. Właściciele tych pojazdów, chcąc sprostać wcho- dzącym w życie przepisom, mogą wymienić wkłady lub lusterka klasy IV i V (konieczność wymia- ny 2 lusterek + robocizna serwi- su) lub zamontować zewnętrz- ne lusterko niwelujące martwe pole na specjalnym wysięgniku zewnętrznym. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_D9GT2AYMRXo/SXn5YrST4tI/AAAAAAAAEV4/JLaFl0dUrcw/s1600-h/image%5B8%5D.png"&gt;&lt;img title="image" style="border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px" height="319" alt="image" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_D9GT2AYMRXo/SXn5aSs032I/AAAAAAAAEV8/EvekhYX1Mbc/image_thumb%5B4%5D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;Alternatywnymi rozwiąza- niami jest jeszcze system kamer obejmujących martwe pole lub montaż wewnętrznego lusterka klasy IV i V (uniwersalnego lu- sterka Truck Depot). W praktyce klienci ze względu na spore koszty rzadko decydują sie na montaż dodatkowego lu- sterka zewnętrznego lub na ko- rzystanie z systemu kamer. Popu- larne natomiast wśród klientów jest wymienianie wkładów/luste- rek klasy IV i V. Niestety bardzo często nie jest to również tanie rozwiązanie, gdyż wiąże sie ono z koniecz- nością wymiany 2 lusterek lub wkładów (szerokokątnego i ram- powego) na produkty z 300-mili- metrowym promieniem, do tego należy doliczyć ok. 20-30 minut pracy serwisu. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;DLATEGO CIEKAWĄ&lt;/strong&gt; propozycją wydaje się być zastosowanie uni- wersalnego lusterka Truck Depot. W odróżnieniu jednak od kon- kurencyjnych produktów Truck Depot oferuje montaż lusterka martwego pola na wewnętrz- nej stronie słupka A ciężarów- ki. To oryginalne i opatentowa- ne rozwiązanie ma sporo zalet, takich jak uniwersalność (może być montowane w każdym pojeź- dzie ciężarowym), prosty i szybki montaż (do 10 minut, każdy kierowca może go zrobić we wła- snym zakresie). Jest to również najtańsze roz- wiązanie (montaż tylko 1 luster- ka we własnym zakresie). Oczywiście jest szereg innych zalet tego rozwiązania, takich jak szerszy zakres pola widze- nia martwego pola niż wyma- gany w dyrektywie oraz fakt, że dzięki umieszczeniu lusterka we- wnątrz kabiny nie ulega ono za- brudzeniu, nie zamarza i nie ko- roduje. Jednak najbardziej przekonu- jące do tego rozwiązania są do- świadczenia krajów, które uprze- dziły przepis unijny i wcześniej wprowadziły ten wymóg we wła- snych krajach (Belgia, Holandia i Dania). W tych krajach luster- ka Truck Depot zostały dopo- sażone w ok. 40% zarejestro- wanych tam pojazdów i dzięki temu producent może pochwa- lić się sprzedażą ponad 200 tys. sztuk w Europie. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;LUSTERKA FIRMY&lt;/strong&gt; Truck Depot dostępne są do wszystkich po- jazdów powyżej 3,5 tony DMC. Oprócz lusterka klient otrzymuje uniwersalny zestaw montażowy oraz instrukcję montażu. Prak- tycznie do wszystkich pojazdów dostępne są zamawiane osobno zestawy szybkiego montażu prze- widziane do danego modelu. Zestawy te wykorzystują punkt montażowy uchwytu po prawej stronie pasażera. Tak jak wspo- mniano, prace montażowe oraz ustawienie lusterek można wy- konać samodzielnie, co stanowi kolejną zaletę produktu. They said 18-wheelers have five of them. Two are in the front corners. Two are on the sides and one is in back. When cars are in any of these areas they can not see them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They also said they believe too many drivers do not leave enough distance between themselves and a semi. Juni 2007, Nr.: 183/2007&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;Der EU-Ministerrat hat heute in Br&amp;#252;ssel die Richtlinie zur Nachr&amp;#252;stung schwerer Lastkraftwagen mit verbesserten Spiegeln verabschiedet. Der Vorschlag geht zur&amp;#252;ck auf eine Initiative Deutschlands und soll k&amp;#252;nftig dazu beitragen, schwere Verkehrsunf&amp;#228;lle von Lastkraftwagen mit Radfahrern, Motorr&amp;#228;dern und Fu&amp;#223;g&amp;#228;ngern zu verhindern. Durch den nachtr&amp;#228;glichen Einbau der Spiegel soll der gef&amp;#252;rchtete &amp;quot;tote Winkel&amp;quot; beseitigt und das indirekte Sichtfeld der Lkw-Fahrer erweitert werden. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;Dazu erkl&amp;#228;rte der amtierende EU-Ratsvorsitzende, Bundesverkehrsminister Wolfgang Tiefensee: &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;blockquote&gt;   &lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;quot;Das ist eine gute Entscheidung f&amp;#252;r mehr Verkehrssicherheit. Damit kommen wir dem Ziel einer europaweiten und einheitlichen Nachr&amp;#252;stpflicht f&amp;#252;r Lkw entscheidend n&amp;#228;her. Sp&amp;#228;testens bis April 2009 m&amp;#252;ssen innerhalb Europas alle im Verkehr befindlichen gro&amp;#223;en Lkw &amp;#252;ber 3,5 Tonnen Gewicht mit diesen Spiegeln nachger&amp;#252;stet werden. F&amp;#252;r neu zugelassene Lkw gilt die Ausr&amp;#252;stungspflicht bereits ab Ende Januar 2007.   &lt;p align="justify"&gt;     &lt;br /&gt;Parliament adopted &lt;/p&gt;   &lt;strong&gt;May 10&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;, 2007&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; a report approving with amendments a Commission draft directive calling for blind-spot mirrors to be &amp;quot;retrofitted&amp;quot; to heavy lorries which have been in operation since 2000. The deadline will be &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;31 March 2009&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;. Each year, 400 Europeans - many of them children on bikes - are killed when lorry drivers changing direction at a crossing or roundabout fail to see them in a blind spot around the vehicle. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;Under a 2003 EU directive, new lorries must be equipped with blind-spot mirrors from 2007 onwards. However, at current replacement rates, the EU population of some 5 million lorries (not counting those owned in Romania and Bulgaria) would not be entirely replaced until 2023. Until then, the danger to vulnerable road users, particularly children, would continue.     &lt;br /&gt;The European Commission in this latest directive has therefore proposed retrofitting such mirrors to older lorries as well, i.e. those registered since 1 January 2000.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;Parliament, in adopting a report drafted by Paolo &lt;strong&gt;COSTA&lt;/strong&gt; (ALDE, IT) endorsed the Commission's plans with amendments.     &lt;br /&gt;Parliament voted for the retrofitting exercise to be accompanied by awareness-raising campaigns about the dangers of blind spots on heavy goods vehicles, including information aimed at vulnerable road users. Light goods vehicles and buses are not covered by the directive but MEPs called for this question to be reviewed in future.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p align="justify"&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;Parliament also voted for the Commission to gather data from Member States with a view to devising a future strategy on blind-spot accidents.&amp;#160; Lorries that can not by equipped, by technical or economical reasons, with standard mirrors may be equipped with other devices as a blind spot mirror of camera monitor systems. The &lt;strong&gt;BDS&lt;/strong&gt; blind spot mirror is approved for directive 2003/97/EC (with the number no. e4*2003/97*2003/97*2309*00 for the class IV and V and with number e4*2003/97*2005/27*2305*00 for class IV, and V.)    &lt;br /&gt;MEPs do not anticipate any practical problem in retrofitting lorries registered since 2000.
